Coffee

"You can't be his only friend. His world doesn't and shouldn't revolve around you. He isn't your property, or anyone else's for that matter."

That was what's repeating in her head. She already knew this. She'd gone through this countless times. Now, it was happening again.

She took a deep breath and sipped her coffee. Her forehead wrinkled as she did so. She had never liked coffee. She probably never will. But at that moment, even coffee would suffice to silence her troubled mind.

It’s so pleasing to hear when I get to be called a little version of you.

It gives me pride to be likened to someone I look up to and who I consider to be one of the most talented people I know.

It feels like an acknowledgement that I’m on the right track and I’m doing things right.

Life isn't fair. It never was.

Sometimes, things don't go as planned and we don't always get what we want. We blame life or whatever twisted thing that made those plans go down the drain.

We become too concerned about getting what we want and having things the way we want them to be. We forget that this isn't always the case.

There are things that we have no control over. And we have to accept that that's just the way it goes.

Don't.

It's funny how when you're just about to fall into a habit again, something happens to remind you that you shouldn't.

You're presented with reasons why you should just let go and move on. Or why you should just stay where you are and not venture any further.


It's not worth it.

Twenty-third of June

I want to let you know, and I hope this stays in your heart and mind, that I love you.
I'll love you even if you leave me, even if you hate me, even if  you don't think about me anymore. Even when you see me elsewhere, with other people, seemingly to have forgotten about you, I'll still be loving you.

Because my love for you goes beyond hoping that we end up together.

My love for you wants you to be happy.
It'll hurt  if I'm not the one for you. But then I'll have to accept that and just be happy for you. That's how much I love you.

You'll forever be in my heart and soul because you're embedded in me forever.

I love you.
